This is the official fabric market lunch break spot and I absolutely love it. Some basic Korean BBQ with all the fixings... And the sweet potato noodles. I dream about this meal. The salad that comes with the meal is life changing.

Breakfast last Saturday -- my typical daily breakfast at the Marriott here so I'll save the trouble and not repost it each day I'm here. 2 hard boiled eggs (not pictured, they took too long and I was hungry), fruit, salad, cappuccino (sometimes I mix it up with green tea) and seltzer (also not pictured). I headed to Shaoxing after this meal to do my favorite pastime --- fabric souring in the market!! Best China-day as far as I'm concerned, even though it always ends with some blisters on my toes.

I'm back in China (since Friday, but with some internet issues) and eating my way through this business trip while making sure dozens of dresses are made beautifully and on time (and going to the gym more than I have in 2 months to keep up with all the food they keep serving me).

Dinner last Friday at the Din Tai Fung near the Portman Hotel in Shanghai. I know these are highly controversial Taiwanese dumplings and not true Shanghai style but you can't argue that they are ridiculously good. A very good welcome to Shanghai.
